ShivAadhyaHomes ("we", "us") takes your privacy seriously. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
1. What we collect
- Account info — your name, email, password (hashed), and role (customer or designer).
- Order info — shipping address, phone, items purchased, payment status. We do not store full credit card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank credentials; payments are handled by certified payment gateways listed in section 3 below.
- Usage info — products you view, items added to cart/wishlist, approximate country (from your IP, never stored as a precise location).
- Cookies — small browser values to keep you signed in and remember your region preference. You can decline non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit.
2. Why we collect it & marketing emails
- To fulfil your orders and communicate about delivery.
- To answer your questions and provide customer service.
- To send you marketing emails about new arrivals, sales, coupons, and seasonal offers. By creating an account on ShivAadhyaHomes you acknowledge and consent to receive these marketing emails from us. Every marketing email includes a one-click Unsubscribe link in the footer, and you can opt out at any time — we will stop within 10 business days, as required by the US CAN-SPAM Act.
- To improve our website and product mix — we look at aggregate browsing patterns.
- To meet legal and tax obligations (US sales tax, India GST).
2a. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar browser storage for three things: (a) keeping you signed in, (b) remembering your region/currency preference (USD or INR), and (c) measuring aggregate, anonymised traffic so we can improve the site. We do notuse third-party advertising cookies, and we do not build behavioural advertising profiles. On your first visit you will see a banner so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies; essential cookies (sign-in, cart, region) are always required for the site to work.
3. Who we share data with
We share only what is necessary, with these third parties:
- Payment gateways — depending on your region and chosen payment method, your transaction is processed by one of: Razorpay (UPI / cards / netbanking), BriskPe (cross-border collection), or direct bank wire transfer. Payments may be processed by other certified UPI / card processors. Each receives only the data required to authorise the transaction and is bound by PCI-DSS / RBI standards. We do not see or store your full card or UPI credentials.
- Wire transfers — for high-value designer orders, your bank may share basic remitter details with our bank purely to settle the payment.
- Resend — sends our transactional and marketing emails.
- Google Sheets / Google Workspace — our internal back-office (orders, users, product views).
- Shipping carriers — only your delivery address and phone.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
4. How long we keep it
- Active accounts: as long as your account is open.
- Order records: seven (7) years after the order date, to satisfy tax and consumer-protection laws.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
- Inactive accounts: if you have no orders for three (3) years and want us to delete your account, just email us.
5. Your rights
You can ask us — at any time — to:
- Send you a copy of all the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your account and personal data (we may keep order records as required by law).
- Stop sending you marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us).

6. International transfers
We are based in India and ship to the United States and other countries. Your data may be processed in India (where our team is) and in the country of the payment processor or email provider you interact with (typically the United States, the European Union, or Singapore). By using our site you consent to this transfer.
7. Children
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy meaningfully, we will email registered users and post a note on this page.
